How To Apply

Sit back, relax, and await our response. Once your application is received, we’ll carefully review it, and follow up with any questions we may have.

Complete the essential paperwork, which includes the M-1 Visa application, Form I-20 application, TSA clearance application, and any additional required documentation.
M-1 Student Visa
The M-1 Student Visa is a nonimmigrant visa issued by the U.S. government for individuals seeking to pursue flight training in the United States. It allows international students to enroll in SEVP-certified schools and participate in authorized vocational programs while maintaining their nonimmigrant status

Once you receive acceptance into Deland Aviation, you will receive Form 1-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status).

You will then pay the required SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) I-901 fee online.

Complete the DS-160 Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application form, through the U.S. Department of State’s Consular Electronic Application Center website.

Schedule and attend the Visa interview at the U.S. embassy closest to you. Bring the required documents to then receive your M-1 Student Visa.

Following the approval of your M-1 visa and admission to Deland Aviation, the next steps involve important processes, such as TSA clearance and Foreign Certificate Validation, to ensure compliance and readiness for your flight training journey.

Consult with us after receiving your M-1 Student Visa. We will provide you with the requirements and process for obtaining TSA clearance and foreign certificate validation (if necessary).

Complete the process for obtaining TSA clearance. This involves submitting personal information and receiving a background check to ensure compliance with security regulations.

If you hold a foreign pilot license and intend to validate it for use in the United States, initiate the foreign certificate validation process with the relevant aviation authority.

Follow the guidance provided by us and any relevant authorities. We will help ensure that you meet all requirements and deadlines for these important steps in your flight training journey.
